Transect Zooplankton Tows

Net: 64 µm mesh, 0.5 m diameter net used

Depth: flow meter used to determine volume towed, unless it was much different from the depth towed based on the winch meter wheel

Sample Replicates: Two net replicates taken, numbers are the mean of both replicates

Zooplankton Abundance: At least 600 zooplankton counted and identified per sample

Zooplankton Biomass: For biomass determination, 25 immature, and 10 adults measured per sample if they were 10% of the sample. For zooplankton biomasses less than 10% of the sample, a default weight was used either from published literature or based on lengths of zooplankton from this study (IFYLE 2005).
